Katie Lynch Capstick is a  third generation funeral director and is the only daughter of Tim and Jennifer Lynch.  She grew up in Walled Lake where she was a 1998 graduate of Walled Lake Central High School.  Upon graduation, Katie attended Michigan State University and later transferred to Wayne State University where she graduated in 2002 from the School of Mortuary Science. After graduation she relocated to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors-Capstick Chapel in downtown Lapeer with her husband Mark, also a licensed funeral director.  Katie and Mark lived above the funeral home for 3 years before taking a different residence also in the city Lapeer.
 
Katie is currently on the Lapeer Rotary Club Board of Directors, Lapeer Area Chamber of Commerce, Lapeer Downtown Business Association, and a past member of the Walled Lake Rotary Club.

Katie lives in Lapeer with her husband Mark and their three children, Kaden, Abigail and Lucy.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time doing outdoor activities with her family and friends.
