Dorothy W. Snyder age 88 of Lapeer passed away July 7, 2010. Dorothy was born on February 11, 1922 in Attica, MI, daughter of Edward and Jennie (Moon) Maasch. She married (the late) Ray Snyder in 1955 and retired from General Motors in 1975 after 30 years of service. Dorothy enjoyed family, gardening and her flowers. Beloved mother of, Clarence (Janet) Jarvis of Attica, Robert (Pat) Jarvis of Lapeer; loving grandmother of Brandie (Robert) Barrett, Sherry (Pat) Donovan, Bobbi Jo (Bill) Olesen, Terri Rae (Brett) Slocum, Robert (Sarah) Jarvis, Sam and Sue Conley, Charles and Jessica Merz, Nicholas Merz; beloved great grandmother of Robin, Michael, David, Casey, Megan, Emma, Regan, Mason, Madelyn, Katie, Josh, Declan, Conner, Owen, Ashley, and Bianca; sister of Lorraine Bencheck of Lapeer.
Funeral service will be held Saturday at 2:00 PM from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park, Lapeer, MI 48446. Friends may visit Friday 3-5 & 7-9 PM. Pastor James Olah will be officiating. Burial will take place at Attica Twp. Cemetery. Memorials to United Hospice greatly appreciated.
