Catherine D. Peters was born on October 13, 1942 and died June 19, 2010 at the age of 67.
Loving daughter of the late Martha and Leslie Peters of Walled Lake, Cathey was preceded in death by her sisters, Irene McEvoy and Rosie Allen. Cathey touched the lives of everyone she encountered, had an infectious, loving spirit and will be missed by many.
Born with Downs-Syndrome, Cathey was a blessing to her family. She was a very happy, loving “child” her entire life. She enjoyed spending time with her family and appreciated life’s simplest pleasures to the fullest. She was an inspiration to all as to how to live life and love one another unconditionally.
The family would like to thank the staff of the Chamberlain House and Silverbell Home for their loving and selfless care during her many years with them. The family would also like to thank Brian’s House and McLaren Hospice for their compassion during her last days as she passed away from complications due to Alzheimer’s.
Memorial Service from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home 340 N. Pontiac Trail Walled Lake (3 Blks. South of Maple Rd) Saturday 2:30pm. Friends may visit Saturday 1pm until time of service. Memorials to Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice at Brian’s House appreciated.
