Condolences:
Arnie was a great guy. He was one of my best friends at Orchard Lake St Mary's; high school 61. It's too bad I moved out of state (now in Florida) otherwise we would have gotten together more often. I will say a prayer for you Arnie.

VPA Diagnostics was fortunate enough to have Arnie on our team. Arnie was the “elder statesman” of mobile radiology on our team and for that matter southeast Michigan. In total Arnie had been taking care of patients in hospitals, homes and other settings for over 40 years. The last 21 years Arnie spent his career in mobile Radiology. There was no one, without exception, that knew more about the business of taking care of patients in the home or facility settings than Arnie. His passion for excellence in his radiology skills, for his care of patients and for teaching new technicians was immeasurable. Arnie always had time for who needed his guidance and expertise. He gave you his full attention and made himself completely available to your needs. Arnie will be fondly remembered by countless colleagues, students, employers and all those in the business as a true gentleman, a true professional at his craft. His family can be very proud of the legacy of excellence in patient care the Arnie leaves behind. For many members of my team this is a deeply personal loss as some of my folks have worked with Arnie for over 20 years. They have learned from him, admired him and considered him part of their family. We know that for us, having Arnie as part of our team and his part is something that we will always appreciate and something that will motivate us to continue his legacy for our patients. We will miss his “clean” jokes, his daily deliveries of fresh fruit to keep all of us healthy, and most of all his smile. Rain or shine Arnie always had a smile ready for you. Personally, I will miss our morning-after Red Wings discussions ? We can all say with absolute certainty that he was one of the finest people we had the opportunity to work with, laugh with and learn from. Arnie will always be remembered as a true professional, a true friend, and a truly “gentle-man”. I ask you to remember Arnie’s family in your prayers.

VPA DIAGNOSTICS

Elaine and Family members I want to offer you my most prayer filled sympathy. Arnie I felt was one of my closest friends during our days at Orchard Lake. I sort of came and gone with Arnie throughout his life. I will miss his humor, laugh, (I don't know about his blue eyes), mine are bluer, just kidding. I was blessed to be Arnie and his family in the last days and moments of his life. Thank you Lord! Arnie will always be with us as we contine to ask the Good Lord for His continued support in seeing His will in our lives and strength to be like Arnie and always say "Yes" to His will. Arnie, rest in peace. Fr. Norb Maciejewski

We are saddened deeply at Arnie's passing. Elaine, you guys were always a true inspiration to Debbie and I. We always admired your happy marriage and the wonderful family you've raised. Arnie's quite understated wisdom and your unassuming love served you both so well. Karen and Jason are a true testament and legacy to Arnie's and your life's work. You raised two great children who will continue your superlative family history. Though Arnie is not with you now, in-person, his wisdom and kindness will live on through Karen, Jason and their children as well. Arnie will always be there for all of you. Pray to him often. He was such a gentle soul! God bless you guys. We love you and will pray for you, always!

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Arnie's passing June 24th. Mary Lou Jaffray shared the news with me tonight. We worked with Arnie at New Grace Hospital in the Radiology Department back in the 70's. His kindness and wonderful sense of humor set a spirit of warmth and friendship among the students and workers there. I remember him as a proud father and husband, and an all around good person. My sincere condolences to the family. I knowArnie went straight to Heaven!

Arnie was a great guy, a wonderful boss, and a good friend. He was always supportive and never got mad even when we screwed up. He will be missed dearly. I that he is in a better, happier place. My prayers are with his family.

Christine McGinty

I had the pleasure of working with Arnie for many years. He was a wonderful man and so proud of his grandkids. I was honored that he shared his "papa" stories and pictures with me. He will be missed but even now in this difficult time when I think of Arnie I smile! My thoughts and prayers to his family.

Cyndi Smith

Arnie was fun! He was serious enough to get the job done and light hearted in the process. He was my boss back in 1972 at N.W. Grace. The good old days when we used to have to mop the floors before we went home. I know he will be missed. He touched the lives of lots of people, patients and techs.
