 Helen Louise McPhillips Grue age 84 of Lapeer passed away March 7, 2010 in the comforts of her home surrounded by her family members who loved her dearly. Helen lived a long and full life having traveled extensively abroad. She married Lawrence Grue on September 6, 1947 at Grace Episcopal Church in Lapeer. Helen is survived by her daughters, Cheryl (Fabian) Bercegeay of Georgia, Elizabeth (David) Tarpley of Georgia; sons, Richard (Joan) Grue of Texas, Edward Grue of Lapeer; grandchildren, Rob, Greg, Brittany, Richard, Brian and Nicole; sister, Catherine Bosstick of Port Huron; sisters-in-law, Mary, Margaret, Barbara and Diane. Helen is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Lawrence Grue. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM from Grace Episcopal Church (735 W. Nepessing Street). Rev. Susan C. Rich will be officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may visit Wednesday, March 10, 2010 from 6-9 pm at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Capstick Chapel, 542 Liberty Park, Lapeer, MI 48446.
